About Volksbuurtmuseum

For the Nederlands Volksbuurtmuseum in Utrecht, we provided the video mapping as part of an interactive video installation. This installation presents the museum's themes in three compelling videos, available in Utrechts, Amsterdams, Rotterdams, and English.

To bring the historical character of the working-class neighborhoods to life, footage from the Open Beelden project of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision was used, supplemented with work by Sebastiaan ter Burg. The videos are projected onto a specially designed cabinet, inspired by a design from students of the Utrecht School of the Arts and built by Marc Jon-Ming.

Our video mapping technique ensures that the visuals blend seamlessly with the surroundings, allowing visitors to engage with the history of the working-class neighborhoods in an immersive way.
