About 3FM Awards 2007 - 2012
For 6 years we were allowed to participate in the 3FM Awards. It started small in 2007 when we cut fragments in a broom cupboard for 3FM. But from 2008 it became bigger and bigger and we provided the nominations videos of the nominees every year.
DOREM i FASOLL A SIDO
On April 15, 2007, the 3FM Awards were presented for the third time, this time in Paradiso in Amsterdam. For the first time, a TV recording of the event was broadcast on VARA airtime on the evening after the ceremony.
MUSIC FOR ALL
On April 26, 2008, the 3FM Awards were presented for the fourth time, this time in The Factory in Amsterdam. For the first time, the event was also broadcast live.
A theme for the event was also new this year, this year it was MUSIC FOR ALL. Whereby all design was inspired by resistance posters.
3FM Awards 2009
On April 23, 2009, the 3FM Awards were presented for the fifth time, this time in Gashouder (Westergasfabriek) in Amsterdam. The event was broadcast live by both 3FM and Nederland 3.
This time the theme was WANTED IN THE NAME OF MUSIC. We went all out with the prison theme. We filmed artists on a green screen and then digitally put them in a line up.
Fun facts:
We have an extra take of VanVelzen. Because he wanted to be filmed from his nose for the lineup videos. In the end, this did not achieve the final result, unfortunately.
At the entrance we had a fake X-ray machine. When visitors put their stuff through it, you could see all kinds of weapons and strange things on the monitors. We could easily start these with the jingle machine of Serious Request.
SOUND CITY
On April 15, 2010, the 3FM Awards were presented for the sixth time, just like in 2009 in the Gashouder (Westergasfabriek) in Amsterdam.
With the theme SOUND CITY we searched for the HEROES of music, the style was inspired by Frank Miller's SIN CITY. Everything was drawn in black and white with red accents.
Fun facts:
For the live performances we had made animations of POW and BANG like you see in the old comic books. These were then started on, for example, drum solos of artists.
When the 3FM Awards were over, newspapers were handed out with the winners.
MUSIC FOR PRESIDENT
On April 14, 2011, the 3FM Awards were presented for the seventh time, just like in 2009 and 2010 in Gashouder (Westergasfabriek) in Amsterdam.
This time the theme was MUSIC FOR PRESIDENT. Completely inspired by the American Presidential elections.
HUNTING TROPHY
The 3FM Awards 2012 were presented on April 12, 2012 in the Gashouder in Amsterdam's Westerpark.
This year the Awards did not have an official theme. But JACHTTROFEE was the concept. Looking for the best artists to hang on the wall.
